Dirk Müller is the new Geodis Logistics location manager in Bodenhei
Frankfurt am Main, 21 June 2012 – Dirk Müller has been supporting Geodis Logistics Deutschland as a branch manager since 1 May 2012. Born in Lübeck, the 43-year-old will be responsible for the 45-strong new Geodis location in Bodenheim near Mainz.
Dirk Müller is a graduate in business law (FH), and has many years’ experience in the logistics industry. He previously worked for the logistician Kühne + Nagel as director of contract logistics and location manager in Mainz. There, his tasks included the management of the multi user warehouse, and securing and optimising service quality. Before taking up this position, the former driver of a road train for the Bundeswehr had held executive positions with IKEA Deutschland and Segmüller. He has also completed further training as a specialist in occupational safety, and is a CCI-certified trainer.

The new Central European warehouse (EDC), which measures over 30,000 m², was commissioned on 1 May 2012. The new location in Bodenheim will create around 60 new jobs in the Rhine-Main economic region. Dirk Müller reports directly to Thilo Rauch, Director FMCG at Geodic Logistics.
Since 2011, the company has appointed three additional locations managers for German Geodis branches to further reinforce the skill of its executive staff. York Hluchnik is now responsible for the branch in Hanover, Uwe Schmeetz for Lüdinghausen, and Manfred Neufing for Cologne.
